You're missing something in /etc/services.
In other words, you're telling postfix to connect to something like
192.

I won't attempt to tell you just how big each partition should be or on
which drive you should locate it, but a fairly standard and secure
configuration for hard disk partitioning would be to put each of the
following in its own partition:
/
swap
/boot
/home
/tmp
/var
/usr

Greetings
This may be a little off topic. I just tried to install Sarge "testing"
for Sparc which I downloaded just last on an Ultra2. I was able to
boot from the CD but afterwards it (strangely) could not find
the CDROM drive which it booted from and therefore would not
install. I didn't know w

thanks Joerg,
When I do apt-get update using unstable, I see kernel-source-2.6.8-8
as most
recent version. I didn't know 2.6.9.deb was available, and didn't know
where
to find it.
thanks again,

I'm using the stock debian kernel 2.6.7-1-k7, to get that out of the way.
I need to use ndiswrapper, since my card isn't yet supported by prism54.
Okay, so I compiled ndiswrapper. Then, I modprobe it.
Output:
$ sudo modprobe ndiswrapper
FATAL: Error inserting ndiswrapper

I installed Debian testing version on my IBM T42. And I use ndiswrapper
as wireless driver. Every time I activate the wlan0, I can not start kde
or gnome. Kde stops at "Initializing System Service" and Gnome stops at
"Session Manager". Is there anyone can help me to solve this problem?
Thanks

Maybe kernel-patch-debian-2.6.9 ?
"apt-cache search kernel patch" helped here.

Right. I guess I was doing them in the wrong order. I have been dissecting

Hi All,
I need to move from DELL machines to some other vendor.
This is because of a disagreement between me and them.
Are there any vendors out there who have specificly supported Linux
in general or Debian in special even?
Are there any server brands?
