I'm getting a daily error back from something in the crontab stating:
/etc/cron.daily/suidmanager:
File /usr/lib/pt_chown registered but not installed
I've tried to find some info on this and haven't come across anything,
if someone could shed some light on this, I'd be very appreciative.

CARD. Please specify the chipset the videocard uses if possible, the
amount of memory on it, and also it cant hurt to specify the montior.

Kernel 2.2.1 (it's very old, I know), and the processor is a k6 if i'm

GIF is often disabled if there are layers in the image that haven't been
flattened, or if the image mode is RGB rather than Indexed.

This is the message you get when fetchmail times out without being able
to contact the server. Try telnetting to port 993 (the IMAP port) of
the server to see if it reachable. I tried that here and got
"connection refused" although I could connect to the POP3 port (110).

I'm currently trying to help a friend install Linux onto his
system. However, we are running into some massive problems. Whenever it
gets to the point where it is checking the disk for errors, or formatting
the disk (basically any large amount of disk access), the system will lock
up completely.

chances are the memory is being used in "buffers" or "cache" which will be
freed when it is needed, it is also possible that staroffice leaves a
zombine process behind, check the process list. Or use 'top' and sort by
memory usage (the 'M' key) to see whats using memory.

As far as I know the only drawback to scsi is price. The newest scsi is always
faster than the newest IDE. And currently scsi supports 15 devices per bus,

IDE supports only 2.

partition magic rocks for setting up linux partitions, i use it often, the
partitions just have to be the right type the label doesnt matter.
