Hello, I've read all the docs and searched all the mailing lists, but can't find an answer for this one. I just installed the quake2 deb package, as well as the quake2-dm package. I've read the setup instructions for copying the cd data to the hard drive in /etc/quake2deb.conf and done all that.

I believe that you are not supposed to delete the lock file. I had this problem at first when I had a shared debs directory between the machines on my local network. I also had a problem with the lock file being on the nfs mounted system and got round the problem by linking it to a lock file o
