After upgrading to slink (using apt-get dist-upgrade from hamm) man
displays empty pages. Is there a font problem?

I have configured Xfree with XF86Setup ans all seems to be all right.
After configuration, the X-Server starts, and i am able to save my
configuration.
Graphic card: Matrox Mystique 1064SG rev. 3 2 MB Video Ram.
The only things is that SVGA X-Server is used, because there is no Matrox
based x-Serve

If you have an IDE CDROM, watch out for BIOS messages
during boot time and see if the CD is installed as
Primary/Secondary Master/Slave. These are the device
names to use:
Primary Master: /dev/hda (Very unlikey; it should be your Hard disk)
Primary Slave: /dev/hdb
Secondary Master: /dev/hdc

Looks like you are trying to enable the primary partition
as swap. Not sure if that could be a problem. Try to
use one of the logical partitions (/dev/hda5 above) as
swap.
Also, I was told that its not possible to install Windows

was being downloaded when the connection was lost got corrupted (all

i had this problem as well, and it magically went away. guessing (i didn't
notice for a while) i would say it probably happened when i installed the

I am running a Thinkpad 560 (0.8GB Hard Disk, TFT Screen) since two years
exclusively with Debian/GNU
Linux. There is always a bit of confusion if I use a Kernel with the
floppy Disk enabled and the APM, so I boot a Kernel
accordingly. Otherwise everything works perfect.

I mean, my samba server deos not recognize passwords as soon
as a service is passwd protected and I believe it has something
to do with the shadowpasswd.
