If you are using /usr/bin/WPrefs to configure
Hi there, sorry for this little of topic question but I have a little
windowmaker question and I haven't found a solution to it yet.
One of the biggest disadvantages in windowmaker is (imho) that it is
unpossible to execute a command by keyboard in a speedy way. In KDE for
example you hav
ing me to close it.
When I ran 'genmenu' it told me that
"/root/GNUstep/Defaults/WMRootMenu already exists"
and asked me whether I should overwrite it.
The first time I did, the second time I didn't. Also,
/root/GNUstep/Defaults# ls
WMRootMenu WMState
ck it, allowing

I found it via freshmeat. It's precompiled, and can be placed anywhere.
I place in ~/home/bin, so it
check this site
http://largo.windowmaker.org/user-guide/toc.htm
I couldn't figure out how to resize the windows in windowmaker, and this site shows
very nicely.
After this, the only thing that was stopping me from choosing window maker as my
favorite window manager has dissapeared.
On Sun, 2
t told me that
"/root/GNUstep/Defaults/WMRootMenu already exists"
and asked me whether I should overwrite it.
The first time I did, the second time I didn't. Also,
/root/GNUstep/Defaults# ls
WMRootMenu WMState WindowMaker
which looked 'normal' to vi &am
Apologies. I've found the 'genmenu' home page.
Most humble grovel, grovel, grovel :-[

Thanks Rodney.
I tried running 'genmenu' as root but Tux replied
'no such program'. I tried apt-installing it (Debian unstable) but
received the message 'cannot find program'.
Where does one source 'genmenu'. Should I add something to
/etc/apt/sources.list ?

Sorry for the WWII jargon but I've installed some themes into
~/GNUstep/Library/WindowMaker/Themes
but the 'applications' menu does not show any. In fact it has not been
working at all in this WM installation, but has not troubled me until now.
Any ideas out there ?

ectly. I've the same problem
for some of my programs, but in most times it works correctly. You can
set you pixmap paths in the "wmakerconf" tool or by hand with an
editor in $HOME/GNUStep/Defaults/Windowmaker.
There are two entrys: Pixmap- and Iconpath. Iam not shure, which
