On a new laptop (TP T520) running sid, the external hard drive I use for backup is not found at startup. vgscan finds it, vgchange -a y makes it active, and mount -a mounts the various partitions. But all that needs to be repeated at the next boot, even though /etc/init.d/lvm2 exists and the link
