One thing to be aware of is that most new CD's come with extra garbage on the disc specifically to confuse programs like grip. Thankfully, cdparanoia is a much "dumber" program and isn't confused by most of the extra garbage on the disk. Try ripping a disk with cdparanoia instead and see if th

strange behaviour ripping an audio cd on a dvd drive

Dear all, on my computer there is a dvd drive from which I can download any files when mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdd /cdrom got executed. However, when I try to rip my audio cd by using grip, the disk drive does not get read? Has anyone experiened similar problems under unstable? Thanks, -- Lukas
