problems with XSERVER after UPGRADE

I am running woody on a laptop since one year. After the last upgrade (i.e. last night) the xserver does not work. It complains that none of the configured devices can be detected. I tried to reconfigure using XF86Setup, and found that my card (NeoMagic NM256 et cetera) is not in the list any more
