That may say more about what processor your kernel was compiled for than
what processor it's actually running on. Does /proc/cpuinfo get it right?

That may say more about what processor your kernel was compiled for than
what processor it's actually running on. Does /proc/cpuinfo get it right?

last i remember, apt did NOT upgrade kernels automatically.
especially a 2.2 to a 2.4 that would be a bad thing to do
automatically. you have to specifically tell it to
