That's exactly it: isapnptools only work for PnP cards on the ISA

I have a SB64 PCI sound card as well. When compiling the kernel I
chose the "Creative Ensoniq AudioPCI 97 (ES1371) option in the
sound menu and it worked fine. But I think some SB64 cards may
use the ES1370 chip - in which case there is an option for that
in the sound menu of the kerne

Maybe because it'a PCI and not ISA ? Or maybe I don't have the latest
version of pnpdump ? The card still works fine with Bill's stuff.

hi stephane, thanks for your response. i have finally gotten the ethernet
working using a 3com 3c905 card. i had previously been trying to get
it to work with a 3c905B without any luck.
