Hallo Linuxgemeinde.
Seit kurzem verwende ich Debian 2.0. Jetzt taucht ein Problem auf, das
ich unter Debian 1.3 nicht hatte. Beim Aufruf von Netscape 4.05 oder
Staroffice 4.0 erhalte ich die Fehlermeldung:

I didn't have to stop it, because it had already crashed :)
The problem persists. Do I need any special libraries (-dev)?

This might be the problem where Netscape's libnullplugin.so
I am running Netscape 4.05 (not 4.5) on my Hamm system. Certain web sites
consistently
trigger a bus fault from Netscape. Is this a known problem, or do I have a
config/library problem?

You also need to be logged in on a regular user account. Netscape 4.05
won't let you run it a
netscape 4.05 won't run as root. Where you root when you tried to run it?

Hi,
I have Netscape Comunicator 4.05 on a hamm system. The hamm is rather
old (more than one month), I admit.
At the office I have another computer with a similar system instaled
from the same CD set. At the office I am able to use spelling in
Netscape. Home I cannot do this.
Any clue ?
TIA,
Isn't *bo*.deb means that they can be installed on a bo system ?
If so, why is communicator4-smotif_4.05-0bo0.11_i386.deb depends on ldso (>=
1.9.7-0) ? My bo has only 1.8.10-2.
Or do I completly missed something ?
Thank you.

Fortify (see www.fortify.net) will provide 128 bit encryption with either
version.

Do you know how I can get 128 bin Encryption of netscape 4.05 with libc6
I can only get it with libc5.

Why should there be a netscape installer package
hello, just a suggestion the netscape.tar.gz file comes with an install
script and does not need the debian package. just run the install script
as root and your laughin'.
Just a suggestion.

You could download the netscape 4.05 on tar.gz format and netscape 3.01
package from debian !
So you copy the netscape 4.05 to the /tmp directory and install the
package.
I still not found the netscape 4.05 package but it works with the older
one (3.01) !

I am using Debian 1.3.1.
On which ftp sites can I find deb package for Netscape 4.05 (communicator)

HI,
I am new in DEBIAN LINUX. So I have some Problems by configuration my
system.
Is there somebody who can help me with my NETSCAPE 4.05???
I took the netscape.tar.gz package from Netscape's home. I had done the
unpacking and running the installation script called "ns-install"
This is probably not a Debian problem, but I've noticed that since I
installed Netscape 4.05, I can't get any plug-ins to work. I've installed
rvplayer and acroread from Debian packages, as well as UMP, which works
with the timidity package.
These all worked fine with netsc
rectly to me.

That's a bug in bash 2.0. I believe there is a 2.01 package in
bo-updates.

I'm using Debian 1.3.1, Netscape 4.05, and Realplayer 5.0
Whenever Netscape tries to startup Realplayer, I get
the following error message. (typed out so not exact)

Try

or

Install xlib6 (not xlib6g) and libc5 packages.
