my Debian don't see more then 1GB memory

Hello I've got in my Debian box 2GB memory, but system see only 1GB (top) It's 2.4.18-bf2.4 kernel. WIndowx XP  and Bios see all memory, and I've checked this on another computer with other memory. Thank you for your help. Daniel
