first of all I cannot boot after update. traced and find out some
strange problems:
1. sd_mod won't load. my system is running on SATA so mdadm will fail
to assemble my (/home) md0. also the system will not be able to mount
(/root) /dev/sda1 since all /dev/sda* were not there.

first of all I cannot boot after update. traced and find out some
strange problems:
1. sd_mod won't load. my system is running on SATA so mdadm will fail
to assemble my (/home) md0. also the system will not be able to mount
(/root) /dev/sda1 since all /dev/sda* were not there.

Other text dissappears when mouse is over top. Can anyone explain if the
problems are possibly linked or just a double unlucky coincidence. I am
unaware what could have initiated either problem. Ideas?
This is a bug in anj

after my recent "ap-get update" - "apt-get dist-upgrade" a few nights ago,
mysqld will not start:
Please take a look at the syslog.
/usr/bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed

I have a copy of Debian 1.3 that came with an issue of Boot Magazine. After
about 15-20 attempts to install X from the CD, I decided that this version
of Debian and/or X must not support my graphics card which is an ATI
All-In-Wonder-Pro. So I downloaded Hamm.
Hamm itself installed flawlessly. I
