As you ask for clues, here goes my $0.02!
This message comes from $KERNEL_SRC/fs/inode.c when the kernel
tries to get more inode. Browsing the file I found a #define MAX_INODE
(16384). What's your number? Maybe you can try increase this and see if
the problem persist.
