I've just installed the drivers (stv680) for a Aiptek Pencam. I'm using
gqcam to interact with with it.
The problem is that it work for 5 or so seconds and then locks up.
If you kill the app and try and restart it come back with "/dev/video:

Where can I find the various versions of gqcam. The version I have (0.9) has
problems.
1- No color
2- The image is 176x144 pixels in size (no matter which 'size' I select
)
3- this small image is divided in half the long way with the bottom half

videodev and built from source spca50x modules are loaded.
Device (camera) listed appropriately in /dev/bus/usb/devicds. Attempting
to launch gqcam which fails with /dev/video not present.
Am I to create these device files, or have I failed to install something
else that creates these files
