So is this followed by an entry along the lines of:
iwlwifi :00:14.3: firmware: direct-loading firmware
iwlwifi-QuZ-a0-hr-b0-63.ucode
or does it
it into
/lib/firmware/, then do an `rmmod+insmod` (or reboot) to force reloading the
firmware and then see if your problems/delays get solved.
If they do, you might like to file a bug report against the
`firmware-iwlwifi` Debian package, e.g. with `reportbug`.

using SSH over WiFi, let alone the specific driver set you specified

Dear Debian community,
what is the problem with firmware-iwlwifi in testing?
The package is outdated but it's important.
Kind regards
Georgi
Actually runing linux-image-4.19.0-5-amd64 (4.19.37-6) without any
wifi issues (this is a desktop), but with linux-image-5.2.0-2-amd64
wifi is unstable with too frequent drops.
WiFi card is a MediaTek MT-7612 USB dongle.
Hope this helps

Migual has you update to 4.19.37-5+deb10u1 ?
With previews version of 4.19 I had problems after suspend to disk.
Now it seems to be fixed.
There are several Bug Reports with "iwlwifi 4.19 suspend" when you
search in on google.
Best Regards

Same problem here. Kernel 5.2.x makes my MT76x2 wifi very unstable,
with bad performance and lot of dropouts. Running 4.19.x for now.
