preference? I think I prefer the other, probably because I am familiar with it... I'm not sure what you mean. Us-intl keyboard w/ deadkeys is what I sent you. Whatever method it is you speak of, my method is more efficient, quicker, fewer keys to press. à is only `+a. á is only '+a

No Deadkeys in some X apps

Hi, Everything works in xterm, but in kvt, netscape, lyx I have no deadkeys. Since I use a german keyboard layout, I have no chance to type a ~, for example. (ok, copy-paste from an xterm works, but...) Can someone give me a hint where to look at? Thanks, -- Lukas Eppler (godot
