why?

I have also found it advantageous to create a grub boot floppy. You
can then select among kernels or fiddle with the bootloader
configuration actually in the course of a boot.
If you do have a running system, then simply have root visit grub's
working directory and copy the two stage file

miniwoody (now called 'bonsai')
or are you unable to boot from cd or
are you specifically wanting to try a floppy based base in
