Using sid, somehow alsa stopped working; the only thing I can think of between the last time I heard it and the time I noticed it wasn't working is that I started kde in vt8 (while having gnome in vt7), and perhaps an upgrade, but I don't remember seeing any alsa related stuff. Any ide
