Rathon,
Before I answer your question, a warning:
There have been quite a few threads on this list lately about getting
the G200 to work under Debian. The most 'Debian-like' solution (if there
is such a thing :) is to point apt to some ftp site that has the slink

Mark,
I am using Debian2.0 and not using apt. I was using dpkg for this install.

XFree86 Version 3.3.2 / X Window System
This is your problem here... I'd say that the svga server v3.3.3.1 that
you said you installed is not being used, t

I have the same card and I'm using version 3.3.3 of X and the G200 is
supported. To upgrade place the following in your sources.list file is
/etc/apt/:
deb http://ftp.netgod.net x/
According to the attached x.log, you are running the xserver from
3.3.2, which does not support the Matrox G200 AGP card. You need to use
the XSVGA server from 3.3.3.

When I do, % startx, I get the error:
bash: startx:command not found
I tried running startx as root and that did not help either.
Why would startx not work ? I am using t
