In the /etc/init.d script for smartmontools there is a condition that checks whether start_smartd is equal to "yes". Is there a "proper" way to set this variable so that smartmontools starts at boot -- or is the whole thing a leftover SuSEism and thus a bug that should be reported? This is with ve
