Hi all!
The output od cdrecord says it cannot
get scsi device. Is there any chance
that kernel is recompiled without scsi
in it? If so, the problem is the very

Cdrecord is made with scsi gadgets in
mind. So, you must treat lite-on as

I have attached my /etc/default/cdrecord file. And
this is the output of `cdrecord dev=ATA -scanbus` :
Cdrecord-Clone 2.01.01a03 (i686-pc-linux-gnu)
Copyright (C) 1995-2005 Joerg Schilling
NOTE: this version of cdrecord is an inofficial
(modified) release of cdrecord
and thus may have bugs

Did you enable devfs in your kernel config, by any chance? If so, you
probably need to add "alias /dev/sg* sg" to /etc/modutils/devfs,
followed by running /sbin/update-modules.
