I did not get it work by using Parallel Port. However, it's now
working by USB. Surprise?!
Here are steps I did:
. kernel support for USB:
CONFIG_USB=y
CONFIG_USB_DEVICEFS=y
CONFIG_USB_UHCI=m
CONFIG_USB_UHCI_ALT=m
CONFIG_USB_PRINTER=y
. alias usb uhci # in /e
Don't know if it's relevant or not but I notice that your dmegs ouput has no
indication that parport0 has been "assigned" an address, nor that it has been
"assigned" to lp0 (usual I believe).
Are you able to cat raw data to parport0 ?
