I rememeber that I had DRI problem if I loaded these modules in the
wrong order.
You should try to load agpgart *before* radeon module.

Hi.
I just installed a Debian Sarge on my computer. I usually use a Linux From
Scratch, so I'm new to Debian. I'd like to get DRI work with XFree, but
allways get this message :
(WW) RADEON(0): [agp] AGP not available
I tried to preload radeon and agpgart modules, but nothing changed.

Hi,
I am having a problem with my X config. I am trying to fix it for some hours
now, and I am LOST.
Symptoms: X starts, but the image is white-ish. I can just read it... It looks
like someone tuned up brightness to an insane level... Not workable..
I know it can work, I had it working -witho
VESA driver, but obviously it's kind of pants. Then

Coming into this very late, but I booted knoppix and it detected my
Radeon 9000 Pro and set it up with DRI support. I installed it to
harddisk.

Right - apparently apt-get.org is wrong and Daniel never had any XF86 4.3
for Woody.

Hi Yall & Antony,
who is having some grief, with his Radeon 9000 Pro (full text below).
My previous card is a Power Colour Radeon 9000 Pro & I am now on a 9500

I had my Radeon 9000 Pro up last year, using the DRI project stuff & it
is good for 2D & ok for 3D.
Now for a q

There is your problem. The Radeon 9000 Pro is too new for that X-server. It
is even too new for the version of the X-server in Sarge
Hi all,
I'm trying to get XFree86 going with my Radeon 9000 Pro in Woody.
Here's the X output:

Bonjour.
Trying to set up the framebuffer with my Radeon 9000 Pro on a 2.5.69
Kernel (Debian sid). But it seems the framebuffer can not be
initialized, as the resolution does not change.
Kernel-config:

# Graphics support

CONFIG_FB=y
CONFIG_VIDEO_SELECT=y
CONFIG_FB_RADEON=y

HI All & Peter,
Whoops, I meant to type in 9000, in a crucial sentence & did not
Just to bee clear, I have a Power Color Radeon 9000 Pro 128 & the DRI
stuff gets it going in Tux!
Now, download & enjoy! :-)

stops at 8500/R200). You have a 9000 Pro? This works with XFree 4.2.1?
Thanks!

My brother gave me a 128MB Radeon 9000 Pro for Christmas to replace my
aging 8MB Matrox G200. Does anyone here have one?
For drivers, ATI distributes a binary RPM package here:

which says:
