This is broken behaviour and a spammish tactic. I would recommend

I am using Mutt. I don't have a .muttrc file yet but I plan to set one up. I
figure I can just put it in my home directory along with the other .xrc files.
I was wondering where Mutt kept its global configuration file and what it was
named?

Hi everyone,
I have a problem configuring Mutt. All mail, unless I delete it,
is saved in my spoolfile. I'm trying to configure the mbox-hook
command to move all read mail to a different folder (mbox) but
am unable to get it to work.
The spool file is the users default mail file in /var/spool
