I'm running Squeeze and having a lot of trouble with Xorg freeze with my
Intel video, so I'd like to install the Xorg version of Sid, while keeping the
option
to go back to the testing version.
What is the best way to do this ?
Thanks

I am planning to install Sid on a test machine. I may set up a dual or triple

partitions is important.
Googling, and searching the Debian site, seem to suggest that the best way of
going about this would be to download a d

You're trying to install unstable directly from an unofficial
I burned CD 1 of the 4/2/04 version of sid from ftp.fsn.hu. The debian boot
up screen comes up with the boot: prompt.
I hit return and the boot up crashes before the debian installer is run.

You mean you downloaded *a* Sid ISO. Why you wasted your time do
I am trying to install sid on my P-IV machine. I downladed the
sid-i386-1.iso from the following link:
http://ntu.debian.org.tw/debian-unofficial/sid/sid-i386-1.iso
When I boot this CD and give "linux bf24" (as I want ext3 support) at
boot prompt, the "Choose language" menu works fine but when

I've been running varios distros for a number of years (starting with slack
about 6 years ago) and never got into debian. It's about time I did. I'm a
bleeding edge kinda guy, and wanted to play with the latest code. So I'm
looking at sid. Sid doesn't have install disks yet, so I'm wondering what t
