Hi all,
I've just install woody on my ultrasparc1, i've setup my internet
connection on it using dhcp on eth0 (cable modem), but now i want to
make my sun station a gateway.
I've tried to setup ipmasquerading with iptables, as i've not very
experience with Linux/networks

Hello, I have dialup and ip masq to share my dial up connection among my
personal network. The problem is when I stop the connection, and redial
again, I 'have' to rerun the rc.firewall in order for ipmasq to work.
Is this a normal behavior ? Is there anyway so that I don't have to

Hi folks,
I'm setting up a full nat for the first time.
went through the howto and executed the example firewall rules.
Alas... the script first checks the availability of the concerned
kernel-modules. They are found, but I get errors returned that the
resource is busy...
how do I solve this?

I am trying to get ipmasq to work for the purpose of providing a
client machine with internet access. Firewall security is not a
priority right now.
I configure my LAN side eth, then I ipmasq start and get the
following kernel messages:
What is the minimum, simplest procedure to achieve my goal?

Hello all,
I've got a machine, A, that connects to network N via a ppp link to
machine M. I'm planning to masquerade machine B through A (A will have
masq installed and run ipfwadm, B will talk to the world through it).
If net N has some windows machines, and B is a windows machine, is ther
It turns out that the server I have been using has networking screwed
up. I have been upgrading this thing for over three years by hand.
Through countless upgrades the networking got hosed somehow. I
installed the modem into a fresh install on a spare computer and
ipmasquerading worked first
