I don't know how you're booting, but hda2 must be your extended partition, which doesn't show up in cfdisk's main screen. It does (or should) if you choose Print - Table from the cfdisk menu. You'll see a type 0x05 or type 0x0F listed under ID for the 2nd partition. Linux fdisk will also show the

Extended/logical drives always will start at hdx5. This leaves room for the max of 4 primary partitions in slots hdx1 - hdx4, and will prevent your logical partitions from changing later on if you add or delete a primary. The problem I see in your lilo.conf file is the first line as show below: b

I recently reinstalled linux and a second drive. I have debina running off my second harddisk and windows of the master. I partitioned and formated everything with partition magic. My problem is when windows has the mbr on the master it boots fine, but if lilo takes over it will not boot, and m,
