I am having backspace/del problems with xterm. Things work out right
on the debian server if erase = del. Things work out right on exceed
with erase = backspace. What I am trying to do is put some commands in
my .profile (or .bash_profile, or .bashrc) to set the erase char
properly.

I am running xdm on my machine. When I log into the machine on the
console, my xterm's backspace is working fine. But when another user
logs into my machine using eXceed on NT (using XDMCP-broadcast),
backspace does not work. What resources / files should I modify to map
backspace to ^H?
