Hi
My first guess would be an arp issue. Have you tried a flush of the arp
table on the switches?
Do you have anything such as bonding or VLANs setup? It could be
possible that iftop is seeing the traffic twice eg. once on the VLAN
interface and once on the actual physical interface.
Just a guess though.

I usually recompile screen to remove it. If you want to do it with
packages, make sure you have the dpkg-dev package installed (you will
need make etc. so also grab build-essential which may or may not be a
dependancy on dpkg-dev) and use 'apt-get source screen' to
