choosing sarge version?

i've got a dvd from a magazine with debian disto-sarge version? is it updated and stable? should i download any other version? my sys sonfuguration is: p4 1,7ghz/256mb rimm/gforce4/hd40gb/hd20gb tks piero

install debian on a second hd

i'd like to try debian and i'll install it on my second hd. on my fist hd i have fedora core 1 with grub on the mbr. how can i manage the boot loader in order to boot one distro or the other? should i skip the installation of grub? how can i configure grub? tks
