Greetings all: i just got myself a PCally trackball and am trying to get X to recongnize it on the second Serial port. Unfortunately I nothing's happining. Is there a generic trackball driver that would work for this? or a good howto on writing mouse drivers, perhaps? thanx jdk -- To UNSU

well... i played around w/ things, and managed to get a dummy driver set up. and ./etc/ifconfig confirms the dummy0 as an ethernet device... but something's missing that's preventing linuxconf-network from detecting and using the dummy0 driver for the network... anyone have any ideas how to get

Configuring Network Card

Hullo: I'm new to Debian and just installed it. After fighting through the steps of setting up the video card, Xserver, and mouse, i discovered that the network card was not initialized. I have an old D-link ethernet card, and it appears not to have a driver. Is there a way (short of re-install
