Hi
When I run nmap on localhost, I notice at port 8081 a service with a
strange name 'blackice-icecap'.
What is this about, anyone?

Interesting, what you said about faxing and broadband. I would have
thought that it is possible since broadband can handle images. I came
across some non-free software available for this purpose.
I'll do a search to find out more about email-to-fax gateway.
thks.

Thks. I have been using IRC for some quick response to my Debian
problem. The problem is that it does not handle images, at least not in
a straightforward manner. I find this out when I wanted to post a
screenshot for discussion.

hi,
is there an Instant Messenger group for Debian users?

Hi,
is there a package for faxing, using the computer and a broadband link?

When I try to run su from non-root, after entering the password, there
was the error msg:
setgid: operation not permitted.
When I examine the permission for dirs in /, I get settings as shown in
the attached screenshot.
1. Are they correct?
2. What does those shaded tick box mean?
hja123
Basically, i change all the dirs and files to rwx for owner, group and
others.
BTW, in the tick box for permission, what does a shaded box mean?
