RAM economy tips

Hi everybody after a few months I am using Debian at home I keep wandering whether it uses too much RAM. I have 128MB RAM, I run Debian 2.2r3, run xfree86 with SVGA driver, xdm, and Gnome under WindowMaker. Evan when I log in to Gnome desktop with just 1 Xterm (nothing fancy is started up), I see

Hi everybody I just solved my troubles with my winmodem and got it working under linux. What it got is installing the linux driver: insmod -f pctel_pci.o this is then de-installed when I shutdown and I must repeat it every time I reboot. If I understand correctly a way to automate this is to
