Hi! Can anybody tell me how (or where) the location of modules are referenced? Because I compiled and installed some modules, but if I try insmod I get a message that the module couldn't be found. But perhaps it's just a very dumb reason. Christian

Sorry, that my knowledge does have a big gap so far what linux matters. But I think you wasn't born with your momentary knowledge, too. So please try to treat somebody with a little bit of the respect he gives to you, even although he has to advance in his abilities. I always try to do so, too.

Hi! I can't get my sound card to work under linux (SB16). So far I've recompiled my kernel with sound drivers, what else do I have to do? In the howto is a script mentioned to create the /etc/sound.conf but I cant't find such a script. Thanks for any help! Christian (Germany)
