Last time I've reinstalled was in 2005 after a failure of Jfs (luckily

for claws-mail.
To be frank if I wanted just to read text mails I'd be still using mutt.
I understand that the fancy plugin (which was formerly in use) has been
abandoned because it used a webkit librar
I've edited /etc/hosts adding a line where I put the IP address of the
server and the name of site.
Now everything works with SSL :-)

after an update some months ago, pdf and jpg files started to be opened
by gnome preview instead of geeqie and acroread.
i use xfce and find gnome preview not very useful because i can print
only, not save files were i like.
how can i change this behavieur?

i have downloaded zsnes from debian (my son is already using it under win) but
my problem is that when i run : zsnes mario.smc (or aerofighter.smc) i can see
the starting screen but it flickers (i do not know if it is the right word, i
mean the image moves quickly up and down and viceversa). my
