different directory as an NFS mount, what do I have to do to get
/etc/exports read again so the new mount will become available?
I tried just changing the file, no results. The only thing I found that

into most any other app. Is such functionality available for Linux? If so,
I'd really like to learn to use it more extensively.

As is would appear, the 'cdrom' directory is shared for the srv1 machine,
read only.

Under the FAT16 system when a file is deleted, it's only removed from the
FAT. Though the file appears gone, it still remains on the drive.
When something is removed on a Linux box using the rm command, is the file
gone for good or is it just removed from view while it remains on the disk?

I really hate replying to my own post on a mailing list, but I think
I figgered out what was wrong with Samba after my LPR upgrade..
Permissions.
I have no idea how they got changed, since all I did was install a new
version of LPR. But by changing the permissions on /var/spool/l
o get my printer
back online! :)
