Debian GNU/Linux: free to use, free to hack, free to share
xcellent isdnutils package for Debian (with lots of docs).
Unfortunately, isdn4linux doesn't (yet) support the NT-1 protocol used
in North America... from your E-mail address, I'm guessing that's
where you are.
Then again, I have a .com address too, and I'm not in North America.

I don't know if there is a _easy_ way with dselect. What worked for me
was to use dpkg to remove smail with --force-depends, then install
exim.
Hopefully someone has a more correct suggestion.

the one manufacturer I know of that supports Linux is SpellCaster
(http://www.spellcast.com).

l player. I ended up following the
advice from the upstream docs, and set the Application preference in
Netscape for 'RealAudio' (_not_ 'RealPlayer(tm) as Plug-in') as
follows:
Description: RealAudio
MIMEType: audio/x-pn-realaudio
Suffixes: ra,ram

ed (2.3.8-1), I was able to
install using the install program on the Applix cd.
(Since everything is installed in /opt/applix, there's no real point
in creating an applix.deb file. If I want to uninstall, rm -rf
will do the trick.)

lixware can import and export Word 6 (among other formats). I've
just started working with Applixware, so I'm not sure what problems
(if any) there are passing documents back and forth.

This certainly _did_ help. Thanks for the tip!

Hi,
After upgrading the Linux server in our Macintosh network to Debian 1.3,
the atalkd daemon in netatalk won't load, but returns the error:
socket: Invalid argument
AppleTalk worked fine before. Anyone else seen/fixed this?

Do you have termcap-compat installed? Xsetup needs some sort of
termcap to run...

rves the Mac resource fork.
The debian packages macutils and hfsutils have the tools you need to
look at binhex files. However, if the original file is a StuffIt
archive (as is often the case for .hqx files on the Internet), you'll
need to look further for tools to expand the archive.

I've been using Red Hat for the year or so, and I'd like to switch to Debian.
Can anyone who has made this switch tell me what problems/changes I have to
watch out for? Thanks.
