I was trying to install threaded perl but perl5-thread and perl-5.005-thread
do not have installation candidates. I"m sure I am not the only person that
has wanted to have threaded perl support under debian (w/o compiling perl my
self). Is there a different package that I should be installing or is
There seems to be something wrong with the FEATURE() directive in
sendmail.mc mine is:
FEATURE(`virtusertable', `hash /etc/mail/virtusertable')dnl
Ever since 2.2r3 came out, sendmailconfig raises an error when processing
the above FEATURE line. It seems to create an incorrect database line:
virtus
For some reason I do not have /dev/st* . I compiled my kernel with scsi
tape support and I thought that would do it. Is there something that I am
missing. Am I looking in the wrong spot for my tape device.
I have a ICP raid card (GDT) which is fully functional and the kernel sees
the tape drive
to stop it, just do this:

I seem to have an problem installing icecast-server.
Unpacking icecast-server (from .../icecast-server_1.0.0-1_i386.deb) ...
start-stop-daemon: stat /usr/sbin/icecast: No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing
/var/cache/apt/archives/icecast-server_1.0.0-1_i386.deb (--unpack):
subprocess
There seems to be something wrong with rxvt. I am not sure exactly but
about 2 weeks ago I did an upgrade and then tried to use vim and it would
not let me get into edit mode. It is like the term emulation is messed up.
I could not use the arrow keys hjkl or anything to move the cursor. The

come from the upstream author
but being that we are the upstream shouldn't there be a man page?
