Thanks guys. Actually, all I did was edit .gtkrc.mine, and it worked
fine. The .gtkrc-1.2-gnome2 was getting overwritten by
gnome-settings-daemon.

in Debian sid to replace the fonts in /usr/share/AbiSuite/fonts/ and

Or, you could just 'export CFLAGS="O3 -march=i686 -mcpu=i686" and then
'CXXFLAGS=$CFLAGS' in your /etc/profile. Then, each configure script

Yes, delete /dev/snd.
Whatever was using /dev/snd should point to /dev/dsp
You don't need ALSA/OSS/esound/etc. with emu10k1.

THe problems I am having are with plugins (java, realplayer, flash,
etc.); when any plugin is called, galeon just quits. It's annoying
because these plugins are use a lot, and my browser just crashes in
the middle of doing work.
