http://site/drupal/
How is the average Debian user supposed to make Drupal a default web
site found at
http://site/
?

One suggestion:
o check to make sure /dev/mouse is symlinked to /dev/psaux e.g.
ls -l /dev/mouse
o if no symlink exists, then do:
rm -f /dev/mouse && ln -s /dev/psaux /dev/mouse

I had something similar happen when I did woody->sid dist-upgrade.
Anyway, make sure that the 2 other 'esound' packages are selected for
installation also. This solved (one of) my problem(s) - hope it works
for you :)
