I just upgraded mozilla thunderbird using apt (I run unstable) and now
my folders and accounts and address book are not seen by the upgrade!!.
Is it broke??
I can see my old info in ~.mozilla-thunderbird but the program isn't
seeing the info as something it needs to use.

I'm trying to install a low-latency kernel and managed to get through
the whole process, but when I ran update-grub, it finds my old kernels
but not the new one.
I added the new one by hand, copying the portion of menu.lst that
specifies a kernel, changing the name, and copying the entire kern
Why don't you use sftp? (installed with ssh)
scp is also included with ssh. you can securely transfer files either
interactively or through scripting

I just upgraded my Debian unstable machine and got a new version of
evolution. The new version won't let me view html attachments inline -
the option is visible but not enabled as a choice
Any ideas why?? It always worked before with no configuration
neccessary

I ran apt-get update and apt-get upgrade today and the upgrade stops when it
tries to set up Xserver- xFree86. all the text in the terminal seems to
hiccup and then re-scroll to the bottom, and if the cursor is outside of the
terminal window, a screen menu appears unbidden... Any ideas???
after an apt-get update / dist-upgrade last night I no longer have PHP4 on
my system and cannot install it..
the problem seems to be related to the apache-common version.
in looking at the dependencies for PHP4, apache-common is listed twice, once
with apache-common (>= 1.3.22) and the ot
