I cannot believe how difficult this is to figure out. In Debian Lenny,
Shut Down appears in the System menu in the top panel by default, for
all users. In Debian Squeeze, this does not appear to be the case. I
have looked in every gnome configuration file and gui I can think of,

I seem to be having problems with cyrus, because for some reason the
lmtp socket is missing. I thought cyrus would create the socket, after I
added the following line to cyrus.conf and restarted:
lmtpunixcmd="lmtpd" listen="/var/run/cyrus/socket/lmtp" prefork=0
maxchild=20

I have been trying to get ldap to work with tls for a while, and have
been having a hard time. When I have the certificate info in slapd.conf,
slapd refuses to start, giving me the error:
main: TLS init def ctx failed: -1
With the certificate lines commented out, slapd starts with no problem,

I have had a couple of users accidentally shutdown computers, because
there is a shutdown button under the log off button on the Systems
dropdown menu. I had thought the default for debian was to disable user
shutdown (ie. root only), but apparently this is wrong, or has changed.
