How can I restore the initial state (or proceed with the installation)?

Greetings,
Marcus
I'm running Sarge and kernel 2.6.11 (installed from the package
kernel-image-2.6.11-1-k7).
I was going to compile the pwc module from the package pwc-source. But I
couldn't find the source for 2.6.11 to be able to run make-kpkg.
Or is it enough to install kernel-headers-2.6.11-1-k7?
of requirements - the rest
I can handle myself.
Any suggestions?
Perhaps ROX for desktop icons and file manager?
Espcially the 1.x series is quite lean.
