Maybe the kernel version?
I know that 2.0.30 have strange memory allocation behaviour, and that it has
nearly the same patches as 2.0.29-ISS.
It's just a weak guess, but might be worth trying if on 2.0.29 it produces
the same behaviour.

Hi!
Is dpkg can do integrity checking based on the MD5 hashes it uses?
Our machine has been cracked, and we want to know which binaries have been
compromised.
It is rather urgent.
Actually I'm not sure yet if we have been cracked :)

Hi!
The solution was easy:
dpkg -r sendmail
dpkg -i qmail*.deb

Hi!
I want to change my MTA from sendmail to qmail. How to do that?
When I want to install qmail, dpkg says that I can't do that because
sendmail is already installed as a MTA. If I want to uninstall sendmail,
then it refuses because a lot of package depends on MTA. I've tried

It is illegal to use '_' in hostnames, and newest dns servers are enforce
this limitation AFAIK. Use '-' instead.

Hi!
I'm new on the list, sorry if beating a dead horse, or going off-topic.
I'm searching for opinions if dpkg would be useable on non-debian systems
for package management. If the answer is yes, what are the bottlenecks of
the process of porting? If no, what kind of other system would suffic
