Hey,
If you have /proc filesystem support a simple
% cat /proc/cpuinfo
should give you everything you wanna know.

people who are going
to be going to the site(s) are going to be running windows.
Anyway, any thoughts/past experiences you can share with me on this one would
be greatly appreciated.

If this is the case then you should talk to him/her and find out if s/he can
edit the firewall rules to allow your new box to access the internet.

According to my knowledge, you can only mount a cd-rom drive if there
actually is a cd in there. I wouldn't suggest putting it in /etc/fstab

I made all of those changes, when i tried to ping (from the dns box) and of
the domains (www, ftp, etc)
I just kept getting
ping: unknown host ftp.emergeknowledge.com
ping: unknown host www.emergeknowledge.com

Sorry about the size of thisbut here's my config files:
named.conf:

directory "/var/cache/bind";
// If there is a firewall between you and nameservers you want
// to talk to, you might need to uncomment the query-source

my dns lookup from my linux box isn't slow at all. it works fine...and my
resolv.conf has the following:
search emergeknowledge.com

Hmmthat's very interesting. I'm no expert either and I would like to

't seem to figure it out. It's the same
computer so I believe (if I got anything out of the many many docs i've
read) it's called 'named-virtual hosting'.
I am using Apache 1.3.9 with Debian 2.2.16.
Any thoughts, sample configs (httpd.conf, etc.) or anything else would be
helpful
Thanks

You have to make sure that you have VFAT support
compiled into your kernel. If you already do then you can
simply
mount -tvfat /dev/hda1 /window
/dev/hda1 will be whatever your windows partition
is
and /window will be the directory you want the
mount point to be.
