Hello,
I have a strange problem and need a fix of it, cause my server is broken now.
I did a package source update in aptitude with "u" today and then installed the
new packages with "U". During this Configuring and Installation Process the
update hangs and leaves part of my system unusable.

Hello,
I have a fresh install of apache2 and php on my server and I can not get php to
work, php-scripts are not executed by apache, just the plain script is served
to the browser.
The problem looks similar to this one: Can't execute PHP script. But it is
unsolved and from 2007 on Lenny, so I

It is a segmentation fault. There are warning message about version
incompatible of gcc. However I still compile it. I am not sure it is a
problem.

Hi,
I use the recent sid installation, kernel 2.6.18 (update almost
everyday). As I tried to use my USB-Stick yesterday, I recognised that
kde does not mount it automatically (the same with cdrom). The last time
before two weeks all worked well.

Best would be to have another NIC on the router for the WAP (or use a

with the PC's connected to it. I could do so, but for reasons of fun
(hobby), the learning aspect and be in touch with future technologies, I
want to do it more flexible and controllable.
This is my plan:

I want to prepare an PC as a DSL-firewall-router for a small

Hi,
i have an up to date sid installation on my laptop with a selfcompiled
2.6.18 Kernel. I use a Virtual-WindowsXP-machine with the VMplayer.
The problem is to access the USB-port under the VM-XP, if I use the
selfcompiled Kernel. I want to connect an ipaq-pocketpc. If I plug it
in, nothing
