My hard drive is starting to make noise, so I bought a replacement. What
is the recommended way to make the switch? All my Linux partitions are
on this disk except the swap partition. My Win95 OS is on a separate drive.
This is a SCSI disk running 2.0.35 if that makes any difference.

I have a Debian installation in which the ethernet card driver is
apparently not installed. There were some errors at this stage of
the installation process, but the screen drew and reset to the inst.

now I need to update the kernel
I finally got my initial installation to complete (no previous Linux
experience), but the network config isn't quite right. The message
during boot says the network is unreachable and that eth0 isn't found.
All the other settings are okay. Can some kind soul tell me how to get

Hello,
I'm trying to install Debian 2.0 (my first Linux experience) and I'm
having trouble with the install script. Something to do with my
SCSI devices seems to be causing the install script to loop endlessly.
The text scrolls by too quickly for me to identify the root problem.
