Up until now following potato has been pretty painless. This is the first
problem I've encountered.
Any ideas?
Please reply directly I don't follow the list. Too much traffic :-)

They're definitely tar.gz. What is the directory that I should unzip/untar
them into? I'll do things manually if I have to.

does it make this theme only
available to the user who installed it? I am assuming yes. If that is the
case, how do I make the themes available to the other users on the system?
I.e. do I put it in /usr/share/some/path?
BTW I have GNOME from potato, and I've got the gtk-engines-* packages
inst
einstreq --remove libtiff3g-dev
This got rid of the package.

Me too. I can't get that option to work for some reason. It keeps complaining
about needing an action option.
I don't really need it now as I won't be compiling gnome (thought I'd need it
for that).

not compile it if I
don't have to.

subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
libtiff3g-dev
E: Sub-process returned an error code (1)
Any hints? Or is this the price you pay for using unstable.
