i have Asus A3E 5003, and using debian SID, but the internal speakers dont work. There have NO sound from then. Even noise.
There are some facts:
1. Linux kernel - 2.6.12 HERE
2. Boot THIS.
3. Modules in /etc/modules THAT.
4. Active modules after boot THERE.
5. Things in lspci HERE ะป
Did you install PHP ?
How did you want to open .php files if you didnt have php
apt-get install php4
after that it will show you do you want to use DSO - press "y". That
script will put some raw in /etc/apache/httpd.conf which will fix your
problem. Your apache configuration is the problem, not yo
try with:
netstat -na | grep LISTEN | grep :80
it would be something like
tcp 0 0.0.0.0:80 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
that mean that your server is already running.
Try again with http://127.0.0.1/ or http://localhost/
if no test page, time to view the logs.
tail -f /var/log/apache/error.log
/etc/init.d/ap
I think that the right server was:
ftp://ftp.us.debian.org/debian unstable main
this have to be in first place in /etc/apt/sources.list

Did you install x-window-system first !?
apt-cache search x-window-system
apt-get install x-window-system
apt-get install xserver-xfree86
apt-get install xfree86-common
apt-get install xfs
maybe some fonts - apt-cache search xfont
after that you have to configure your X
the file is in /etc/X1
